As the year comes to close, the Democrats are working extra hard to ram through a gaggle of bills before they lose their majority in the House come January. Despite the fact that lame duck sessions are usually, well, lame, the Democrats have had quite a successful run so far. Don't ask, Don't tell was successfully repealed; and a joyous Nancy Pelosi gloated like a drunken Caesar after another country fell to the power of Rome. The bill itself was just a tad bit confusing from the start, but now that it's gone I have to wonder wha…
Nancy Pelosi , the defeated former speaker of the house may not be able to rely on her own words, as it appears her own colleagues want her to to keep Obama in check, and make sure he doesn't work too closely with Republicans. While this is not surprising news, it does lend more weight to critics assertions that with the Republican majority in the House, and only five seats shy of a majority in the Senate that gridlock will ensue when the 112th Congress convenes. After the crushing defeat the Democrats suffered on November 2nd, there w…
A couple of Days ago Democratic Congressman Bob Etheridge attacked a college student outside of a Nancy Pelosi fundraiser. In the video you hear a student ask the question "Hi, Congressman. How are you? Do you fully support the Obama agenda?" At this point Mr. Etheridge repeatedly asks "Who are you?" The students reply that they are well, students, and are here for a project. He continues to ask the same question, at one point smacking the camera out of the hand of one of the students invo…
Nancy Pelosi announces she's leading a bipartisan delegation to Haiti. The delegation consists of 11 Democrats and 1 Republican. Nincompoop Nancy even used the word 'bipartisan' 5 times during her press release about the trip to Haiti. Wow. She must feel really proud. Perhaps this is the kind of bipartisanship we will see at the finally televised health-care debate the president is hosting. We will finally get to see the whole thing live on the air as Obama tries to convince Republicans to resurrect the now dead ' Obamacar…
Our completely moonstruck president is at it again with some really wacky stuff this time. He is going to create...are you ready for this?...a 'deficit task force'. A what? Did you just say task force? What like the A-Team for our budget? We have a deficit task force already. They're called the Republican party, and they have been telling you for a year now that you are spending too much money. This so-called bi-partisan committee will consist of 18 people from both sides of the aisle. Obama of course needed to validate the need …
Republican attorneys general in 13 states are calling for the removal of Nebraska's political deal from the health care reform bill or face legal action. "We believe this provision is constitutionally flawed," South Carolina Attorney General Henry McMaster and the 12 other attorneys general sent the letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid . "As chief legal officers of our states we are contemplating a legal challenge to this provision and we ask you to take action to render this …
